Bush's Legacy

I was getting my hair cut the other day, and my barber asked me "How do you think history will portray President Bush?" In other words, what's Bush's legacy. This honestly got me thinking. Looking at current pissing contest between congress and the president over the Iraq war, it certain that the ordeal in Washington will make better history than the war all together, so that's out. His immigration bill rightly failed.

After a while, I started to think that he would fade in with the rest of the presidents that just held the office without ever really accomplishing anything. But than it came to me. Look at our economy. Look at our unemployment numbers. Look at the stock market. Look at the record low inflation (YES! we have a booming economy with low inflation. Many economists didn't think that was possible). If there is anything that I would look back on and thank President Bush for it is his tax cuts that launched our economy to the point it is at today. The deficit is expected to be 250 billion when he leaves office.

The problem is that the Dems are already talking about repealing the tax cuts to fund their socialist programs. Completely overlooking the fact that the tax cuts have brought in record amounts of tax revenue. Kills me how dumb politicians can be sometimes.
