Happy Veterans Day!!!

Posting a little early on this, but I want to say to all those veterans past, present, and future: thank you for what you do and the sacrifices you have made. Thank you to all those fighting in the middle east. Thank you to all that have served and gave up a part of your life to keep this country safe. Thank you to all the POW's, those MIA or not. Your sacrifice has not gone forgotten.

Regardless of how the media, Hollywood, or even those in our own government portray you, you are loved and appreciated. I can't think of any greater sacrifice one can give, but at least four years of your life to serve the freest, greatest nation on God's Earth.

Thank you all!

Could Hillary Be Good for America?

The right in this country has quite a conundrum on their hands. After eight years of a less than popular president and a group of presidential candidates that have flipped on most issues or living like a liberal, the base is not energized for next year’s election. This lack of enthusiasm has resulted in low fund raising numbers, and popular right-wing leaders pushing for a third party. While the primaries might not be over, Senator Clinton has a substantial lead in the polls, and with all the bickering on the right, we may be looking at our next president. But, would that be a bad thing?

Since the day he took office, President Bush has been bashed by the left, and we all feel like we have to stand up for him. The Iraq War, the War on Terrorism, and the illegal immigration debate has been nothing but a fight between bi-partisan groups. The corruption and broken promises of the republican congress have dropped the spirits of much of the base as well. We, on the right, are tired. We are tired of politics and sticking up for a party that gives us nothing in return.

The right isn’t the only ones suffering from all the above. The independents of this country are not only tired of the bickering on topics of the day, they are just tired of the bi-partisan war in general, and this is the group that decides national elections.

America needs a symbol—a person or a thing—to stand behind and get us rallied to defeat the socialistic plan that the far left has for this country. But with a poor selection of presidential candidates and a republican party that spends just as much as a democratic congress, where are we to find it? I think it will be found in the countries first possible female president, Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

We already have an idea of how Mrs. Clinton will govern as president. She has said she will raise taxes, increase entitlement programs, and take profits from successful companies. She has already released the health care program she will push and with a democratic lead congress, she will most likely get it through this time. Do you think this is what anyone on the right or the center is wanting?

Higher taxes will surely throw our country into an economic slant and cause unemployment to rise. Increased entitlement programs will cause more government spending, a higher deficit, and will also have a hand in a rise unemployment. Why should people work if the government is handing out money simply because you don’t have any? Do you think right-winger and independents will enjoy the following?

What about the Iraq war? In her last debate with MSNBC, Mrs. Clinton (as well as Obama and Edwards) said that they would not commit to pulling troops out of Iraq by the end of her first term. While this might not matter to most Americans, since polls are showing more and more support the war in Iraq, but this will definitely not go over well with her far left-wing base.

Do you honestly think that when she takes office, she is going to repeal the wire-tap programs and the Patriot Act? Do you think that Hillary would honest risk a terror attack under her watch, when there hasn’t been one in 9/11 under Bush’s watch? Don’t hold your breath.

Let’s not get too excited though. Mrs. Clinton may be sitting on high poll numbers, making her the shoe-in for the democratic nomination, but she is far from president. Soon she will have to answer tough questions and debate someone with a much better economic and a tougher foreign policy.

She runs the risk of alienating her base and rallying them against her, since she has recently changed her war stance. This might cause the young base to skip election day like they have the last couple of national elections, and don’t forget her 49% negatives. Never before has there been such a polarizing figure running for such a high office.

So while the prospect of another Clinton in the oval office might not be a happy thought in the minds of many Americans, it might be just what we need to get this country back on the right track. Let’s just hope she doesn’t do too much damage while she’s there, but then again, that could also work to our advantage.

9/11 Anniversary

I’m posting this the day after the 6 year anniversary of the most horrendous attacks to ever happen on American soil, 9/11. I, like most Americans I’m sure, spent the day in quiet reflect and prayer for the victims and their families of this tragedy. Many have said that, “There are now 3 distinct shifts in time; B.C., A.D., and Post-9/11.” America was forever changed on that day. We now look over our shoulder. If you are like me, you have an even greater fear of flying. But, mostly importantly, we all realize that some people will kill without good reason, and now radical Islam is a big factor in shaping the future of America.

Unfortunately, there are some that view this as a chance to either profit off the misfortune of the dead, or to berate that country which has been a driving force for the modern world, The United States of America.

Although it is despicable to use the death of anyone to make a profit, I can’t fully fault them for it. These people who use they deaths of 9/11 to create conspiracy theories—which soon turn into websites with subscribers or what have you—are driven not only financially, but mentally as well.

After studying many conspiracy theories (the 9/11 ones, the Free Masons, ect), I have come to realize what drives these people. Happiness. Yes, happiness. These people who come up with these theories typically have too much control over their own lives. They are successful at work or in relationships, but they feel empty. They feel like things are supposed to be this good. Look at Africa, Asia, South America; people are starving and dying of disease. Why do I have things so good, but they have it so bad? It has to be this evil empire in which I live! So they take something like 9/11, and turn it into a conspiracy theory to try and bring some balance to their lives.

But, why do they take their demonstrations to the public morning grounds of ground-zero? So they can get news coverage for their web-sites/book deals? Or, maybe they actually believe it? I don’t what the reasoning is behind such public displays of anger or aggression, but really all comes down to decency. Something of which, I wonder if the Left has anymore.

Then there are those people who hate America. Why? How could anyone hate the country that has liberated more people from tyranny than any other country in the world? We cloth the naked, feed the hungry, give medicine to the sick, and more money to the poor than any other country in the world. We demonstrate the importance of free markets and of individual growth. We teach by example the importance of conservation of resources. And most importantly, we show the importance of a strong political debate in this country. A debate that continues the flow of ideas, but the Left in this country wants to stop ALL OF THAT!

They complain about the war of Iraq that liberated millions of people from the tyrannical hand of Sadam Hussan; they complain about diversity and political correctness; they complain about unfair market prices and our over use of resources, when they have no idea how a market works; they complain about talk radio and other conservatives that are able to get their message out, but none of that matters to them. The only thing that matters to the Left is power and control.

Folks, we have got to wise up. We have got to remember what has made this country great. This is one of the youngest countries in the world and it has pasted up everyone else, and we need to remember how! Most importantly, on the day after 9/11, we need to remember those martyrs that died in those twin towers. Not because they were evil or because they deserved to die. They were killed because they lived in the greatest country this world has ever seen. Don’t push 9/11 out of your heads. It is a stain on everyone’s memory. We need to remember that day, because America will only live on while her people are willing to die for her.

God Bless you and God Bless our troops in Iraq.

Sicko bombo's

I was checking the box office results for the last week shows. Seems that Michael Moore's "Sicko," after 4 weeks, has grossed a whopping total of $15 million dollars. Simply put, that's pathetic. It makes me happy though. It's nice to know that America sees right through this bully socialist's propaganda to not even bother seeing his film.

Way to go America!

Democrats = Cult?

In case you haven't heard, tonight the democratic lead senate has decided to pull an all-nighter debating the idea of withdrawing troops early from Iraq. As a person with religious interests, I have done a little studying in the background of cults and techniques they use to recruit members. One of those techniques is sleep deprivation. It works because you get tried and your problem solving skills go out the window.

The parallels are staggering.

Bush's Legacy

I was getting my hair cut the other day, and my barber asked me "How do you think history will portray President Bush?" In other words, what's Bush's legacy. This honestly got me thinking. Looking at current pissing contest between congress and the president over the Iraq war, it certain that the ordeal in Washington will make better history than the war all together, so that's out. His immigration bill rightly failed.

After a while, I started to think that he would fade in with the rest of the presidents that just held the office without ever really accomplishing anything. But than it came to me. Look at our economy. Look at our unemployment numbers. Look at the stock market. Look at the record low inflation (YES! we have a booming economy with low inflation. Many economists didn't think that was possible). If there is anything that I would look back on and thank President Bush for it is his tax cuts that launched our economy to the point it is at today. The deficit is expected to be 250 billion when he leaves office.

The problem is that the Dems are already talking about repealing the tax cuts to fund their socialist programs. Completely overlooking the fact that the tax cuts have brought in record amounts of tax revenue. Kills me how dumb politicians can be sometimes.

John Edwards Poverty Tour!!

If you haven't heard, the trial lawyer, turned politician has decided to make a tour traveling around the country visiting those Americans who are in "poverty." Now, I'm going to go into the history on how this sleaze of a lawyer made his millions off countless malpractice suits, I really don't think that is necessary. Let's just talk about poverty in America.

Pure and simple: There isn't any poverty in America. None! If I was given the choice of being poor in any country on this planet, it would be this on. This is why:

#Forty-six percent of all poor households actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage, and a porch or patio.

# Seventy-six percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, 30 years ago, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.

# Only 6 percent of poor households are overcrowded. More than two-thirds have more than two rooms per person.

# The average poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.)

# Nearly three-quarters of poor households own a car; 30 percent own two or more cars.

# Ninety-seven percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions.

# Seventy-eight percent have a VCR or DVD player; 62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception.

# Seventy-three percent own microwave ovens, more than half have a stereo, and a third have an automatic dishwasher.

Does that sound like poverty? If Edwards really cared about poverty, he wouldn't be touring the United States of America. He would be in Africa or South America; places where there is REAL poverty.

But maybe he needs more help spotting poverty. Let me help. This is the type of poverty Edwards is hanging around. This is real poverty. The difference? About 250 pounds.
